Spring Trends

New Jersey saw some pretty warm days last week, it was a glimmer of hope that warmer days are closer than we think. While we are back into the 30s and 40s, it has given me spring fever with my wardrobe! Every season brings on trends. And every season I have to resist the temptation to buy deep on those trends, because they are just that … trends. I don’t want to be left with a ton of pieces that are now out of style when the next season rolls around. So, like everything else, its a balance and I buy trendy pieces in moderation. In looking ahead to the next season and what we will see a lot of, I am confident that a few pieces will refresh my wardrobe without breaking the bank!

Pink/Orange - This color combo, especially when color blocked, is going to be splashed in every store. The sherbert combination makes for a bold improvement on your spring style. I had shared this dress on stories and in a reel if you follow me on Instagram and it quickly became a fan favorite.

Stripes - I know, earth shattering. Stripes for spring, how original. But this classic look is taking on a fresh new persona with patchwork combinations. You also can’t go wrong with a stripe dress or tunic. They double as great beach cover ups too!

Pastel Knits - I love this. And finally a spring trend that makes sense since weather in NJ can be unpredictable. I love the idea of a pastel sweater. On trend, yet practical. I am seeing this trend heavily in dress form too. This is a little less practical but super fun.

Fringe - I feel like this is new for spring and probably one of the trendiest features for the new season. Fringe always tends to pop up but it feels new and fresh for spring.

Cutout Dresses - this trend is not for everyone and its absolutely one of those looks that comes in a variety of forms. Some cutouts are far more extreme than others. I think every age group and body type can obtain this look, its just a matter of comfort level and the severity of the cutout.

Minis - probably my least favorite trend of the season but I can’t say I am surprised. The 90s have been a guiding light for the last few seasons and the fact that the warmer weather is bringing shorter hem lines is no exception. As someone who prefers the classic midi length, this will be a little bit harder for me to buy into. But, I would be remised to not mention it!

I linked a bunch of looks that fit these trends at a variety of price points and size runs.
